ITALIAN STREET FESTIVAL SET TO RETURN IN MID-AUGUST

 

We are pleased to announce that the 2021 Italian Street Festival will take place Friday, Aug. 13, and Saturday, Aug. 14. While we are sad to be missing our traditional second weekend of June dates, in the best interest of a safe and successful event, the move to August was our most prudent choice. It has been a long winter of discontent and uncertainty, and the Italian Street Festival Committee hopes this announcement helps usher in a new spring in the social lives of both the parish and the community. There will be challenges without question, but with dedication, perseverance and togetherness, we soon will be wrapping up what we hope will be our most successful Festival ever. Updates will be posted on the festival website as they become available.

 

ADVANCE SIGNUP NO LONGER NECESSARY

FOR SUNDAY MASSES

 

We are pleased to announce that the parish hall has been set up for overflow seating; therefore, it is no longer necessary to sign up in advance for Saturday evening and Sunday Masses at Holy Rosary. When extra seating is necessary, Mass will be streamed live on a large screen in Priori Hall (the church basement) and the faithful sitting there may go upstairs to the church for Holy Communion.

 

Masks and social distancing still required.

 

The Marion County Public Health Dept. requires all persons over age 2 to wear a mask or face covering when indoors, including in our church. These face coverings are required indoors even when social-distancing is being maintained. (Some restrictions do apply; see the public health order for details.) We also expect all attendees to sanitize their pews before leaving the church; this will require all attendees to bring their own disinfectant wipes or a disinfectant spray and paper towels. Six feet of space must be maintained between households at all times.

 

 

SUNDAY MASSES BEING STREAMED ON FACEBOOK

 

During the coronavirus pandemic, the 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday Masses will be streamed live on the parish Facebook page, barring any technical difficulties. They will be available for viewing anytime afterward on the Facebook page.
